Come out and shoot
My daughter is wanting to get into this.
Could you explain to me what I need to do to get her started?I went to the website yesterday but I still need help with this.
Next match is 11 July at Fort Rich, come on out! The shooters will help her out.
I would recommend the 22 silhouette match this June 27 as well. She will need a 22 rifle, scoped is best, and three boxes of 22LR. Lots of fun
The club has the AR15 rifles to loan at the match and the ammo.
Earmuffs, eye protection, a glove for the non trigger hand, any type of jacket or sweatshirt, sturdy boots or shoes, long pants and long sleeves, a scrap piece of rug long enough to lay on,about 40" wide, backpack to stow the gear, lite rain jacket or plastic garbage bag, bug dope, sun screen, warm hat, gloves, ball cap, notebook and pencil will get your started. Optics, like a spotting scope, are optional. No need to go Gucci on the gear.
Good go by:
The club also has a yearly clinic on getting started. Look for the schedule for 2010 on the web site.
Call Ron, Mark or Al for times and directions. Phone # on the schedule
Thanks and come out and shoot, you too!
