    Post AlaskaChuck's Mom

Mods i know your gonna move this but I wanted it here first as I have met so many people in this thread and many have become good friends of mine and some have even met my mom.

My mom was found to have a brain tumor last week. We got her into the specialist today. He is not messing around. They are doing brain surgery tomorrow morning at providence. So to all my fellow ODD AOS or whatever we call ourselves I wanted to let you know. Pray to the fish god, the halibut god, whatever your belief is. I will keep everyone in the loop in this trying time. Thanks guys for all your support

Chuck - She knew that your mom was going into see the specialist - I'll make sure she knows the plan from here. I'm sorry to hear the news, but hopefully this will end up being a positive step that will result in healing.

I hate to hear that, best wishes and speedy recovery...
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

Again, Thank you all. As my mom says Jr (thats what she calls me) and his followers no matter if it is fishing buddies for football buddies or Aces buddies have always welcomed mom to anything we have going on. We will be fighting this one hard and again you all are putting a smile on my face and i look at the responses

So as i said at the start of this thread I have met many people over the last couple of years from here. Slimm is one of them that I met last monday on the island at the sanctuary at the russian river. I was walking by with JohnSWA and I hear "is that alaska chuck" so slim was down there with some of his Idaho spud buddies. We got to spend a couple of hours drinking some beverages and BS'ing. Slim did catch my hat but he also caught this.

It was fun and a pleasure to meet and play with you and the boys slimm
