moose kenai penn,
If you were going moose hunting in sept.in Would you hunt up high or low in the penn ? like say Johnson pass or in that area ?
You can't shoot them if you can't see them. And you can't see them in the solid Alder thickets, so you are compelled to hunt them high where the Alders thin out. The only other option is around the ponds & lakes. The locals hunt that area, as much of the area around Hope/Sunrise is either closed to moose, or there are no moose, just brown bear poop that was a moose. Oops, there are no Brown Bears on the Kenai Peninsula.
