    Default Bird creek

When traditionally the best times to fish Bird Creek? Is there anything showing up there yet?

I'd give it another month. Some pinks and maybe an odd silver will probably show up before then, though.

I saw 6 or 7 people down there fishing on Monday afternoon, but I can't imagine they were having any success. It is way too early for pinks or silvers...I just figure the poor people didn't know any better. Maybe there are some dollies in there?

I stopped by on the way home from Seward to use the facilities and saw a guy getting ready to fish with his fly rod. I should have asked him what he was targeting. I just assumed it was trout since it looked like he was using a 5 or 6 weight fly rod.

Thanks for the responses, we rode the ATV trails at Bird today and had a great time! We saw plenty of Kings stacked up in one part of the creek. We were a good hundred feet above looking down. Can't fish them but they are there.

Default What can you fish there now?

I heard that you can't catch kings on bird creek (or even do catch and release) is there any kind of fish that you can try to catch there this time of year? (I heard you can do silvers but they wont show up for a while )

I saw a park ranger escorting an fisherman off of bird on Friday afternoon. Might have been fishing for kings and got busted
