    Default My son's new bow

My youngest son, 3.5 yrs, just received his first compound bow. It is a Diamond Nuclear Ice. This little thing is sweet. It is small enough for him to shoot, but still shoots well. It is set on the lowest setting, both length and weight. We picked it up from Archery's Den in Eagle River. Thanks Paul!!! Here are a couple picks, plus some of his older brother.

    Default Limited supply.

$189. They are a little hard to get. Paul @ Archery's Den had ours on order for awhile. He ordered three and sold them all the first weekend. After we picked up the first one, we ordered another (for our older son, 6) online from Obsession Archery (they only had two left). Let me tell you, after setting it up for a 6 year old, with the longer draw length and a heavier draw weight, it shoots bullets. They also come in pink camo.

DONE!! Gotta pitch it to the wife, but if she can shoot it until she is 6+, sounds good to me...

What is the older boy shooting?

I see you took the sight off....did you want him to shoot without first?

In the pics, my older boy is shooting a Whisper Creek. It is a good youth bow, but does not shoot as well, as the Nuclear Ice, on the lower settings. It will be better when he is bigger. He has been shooting it for almost two years and was the best we could find, until now. He just recently started using a sight and peep. He still shoots fingers though. My three year old will shoot bare bow, fingers for a couple years. The second Nuclear Ice we purchased, I set up for my six year old. It is still in the lower half of the setting. I don't think he will outgrow it until he is eight or nine.

Here is a link to the specs for the Nuclear Ice. This bow is ultra adjustable. 10-29 lbs draw weight, 14"-24" draw length.

Paul at Archer's Den said he was ordering more. He may have some in soon, or at least be able to get one soon. I am not sure if Sportsman's Warehouse carries them. Would make a great Christmas present. A little tidbit for the wife, these bows are quality and not toys, they will last a long time and well worth the money. If you want to check one out send me a PM.

Thats too funny. I had a delta bear target for my little sister to start shooting at as well! She shoots a little compound that is absolutly amazing. Kinda neat how the bows work now a day huh?
