For the Chesapeake folks here
Hate to bother people, but 2 incidents recently led to Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue (CBRR&R) taking in 18 abandoned Chesapeakes. One group of 10 and another of 8 dogs. This group has helped Chessies in need in Alaska in the past, and with this latest influx is in need of financial help. Here are the links:
Makes you wonder how a "human being" could do that to any dog???? Even if some of us can help with small contributions, it all adds up & will help with veterinary expenses & such.
As chance would have it, I submitted an adoption application to cbr.org just this week but have not received acknowledgement.
Do you know of a better way to contact them regarding adoption.
My dog is a Chessie mix but very strongly Chessie trait-wise. She is 14 now and while healthy for her age, fading nontheless. I'd like to add a full-blood CBR pup to the family before Harley is gone.
I'll send you a PM with a contact. It'll be awhile before these dogs can be adopted, but there are a lot of other Chessies in foster care that are ready for new homes now. This rescue group helped a lot of Chessies in Alaska awhile back & they're all volunteers.
I'd like the male pup. I don't need an old one. What do I have to do? Thanks.
Sorry to take so long to answer, but went to Idaho.
