    Question Valdez area in-shore fishing?

Heading to Valdez over the weekend and will be bringing my spinning rod with me. I've never been there before and mostly fish the Kenai Peninsula for salmon.

Any locations in the Valdez area I might find a little action? I don't really care what I'm fishing for, will just be nice to get my line wet somewhere new. Any advice to get me pointed in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Default Nothing

Nothing going on right now. The Lowe is flooded so the Dollys would be hard pressed to find. You can't fish for salmon in any tributary's going into the port that is reachable. The pins are no where in sight. City dock is off limits due to construction so casting for winter Kings is not going to work either. Just the wrong time of year.

Default can you fish behind the best western?

Just wondering if you can fish on the rocks behind the Best Western? Are they going to open the ferry dock at all this summer?
