I was in our local seafood market today buying oysters. Notice the following:
Whole wild coho was in at $18.00 per lb.
Whole wild Kings were in at $14.00 per lb. and looked like someone had run over them with a truck.
Smoked salmon (done with native oak, a travesty) was offered at $18.00 per lb. and you can bet your boot that they were farmed-raised in Chile and were brokered into Florida for $3.99 per lb.
What's the point?
You guys deserve the best! Knock 'em dead come Monday at the Sanctuary and have a great summer fishery wherever you go.
My larder is empty.
