Default Need help: Bush Pilot Experience

I'm a silent member in the forum for the last 3 years and read with a lot of interest all the posts. Finally will be in Alaska on the end of June.
I'll have about 3 days in the area of Anchorage/Palmer and would like to have as much as I can the "Bush Pilot Experience".
Can anybody give me suggestion where can I rent a plane+instructor/pilot or anybody willing to fly with me (will pay all expenses)

PS. Hold US pilot license for the last 20 years.

Call Arctic Flyers at Lake Hood-243-3953-or check out their web page. Heidi, Herman and Rick Reuss are three of the best in the business. Alaska has a lot of excellent instructors but I am familiar with the Reuss's. They taught my son and wife. Excellent. Plus great stories from years as air taxi pilots. Tell them you want to fly for fun the rivers and the mountains. It will be the most satisfying flying you will ever do.

I would give Jay Baldwin with Alaska Cub Training Specialists a call. He trains student in off airport operations with Super Cubs. A great guy with a ton of knowledge. Here is a link to his website:

If you get down to Homer, a 220 mile drive from Anchorage (or 45 minute commuter flight)
I will take you over and show you some glaciers. We can land on a glacier lake and dodge icebergs.
Plus there a few other interesting mountain lakes all within 20 minutes of Homer in my slow cub....

    Default Great time with Dragonfly

I highly recommend Dragonfly Aero. I got my SES with Alex last summer and I had a great time. He knows the area very well and he can get you to some fabulous lakes in a short time. His PA-11 is a sweet bird to fly and very well maintained. Alex is a top professional pilot and a blast to fly with. You can't go wrong here.
