Default Need a Place Near Anchorage to Practice Shooting 22LR

    Hey all,

Without going more than an hour from Anchorage, is there a place I can take some friends to work on shooting some 22LR's?

I don't want to go to any of the ranges.. just somewhere we can practice and take our time

    Any Suggestions?

    Default clarification

    I should also clarify:

I am shooting .22LR not clay pidgeon's etc etc.

I am going to be using paper targets and metal spinner targets.

I need to teach my wife to shoot as well as my wife's friend.

I don't want to hear all about how gov't is doing this etc etc. Or we can't do it anymore because of blah blah.

I want to go in... shoot, clean up after myself, and go home.

So if someone owns some private land and wants to share some land, please let me know.

I am a well trained shooter, Marine Vet, and only .22 LR will be used.

Why not? Support the ranges and they will be there for us when we need them. Frankly, I cannot recommend anywhere you can shoot within one hour of Anchorage that is legal and acceptable. Hopefully you will find a private land owner that is willing to help you out.
