    Default keeping crabs out

i shrimp regularly in the PWS area and here lately we have been having problems with small tanner crabs getting in our pots and eating shrimp, is there a certain kind of bait that shrimp like that the crabs dont, or another way to keep the crabs out?

I use a couple of pots by potbuilder and I just put a zip tie on the tunnel after I dropped shallow and ended up with a bunch of tanner crabs. It's worked for so far this season.

I had the same problem with the pots I used to have after I removed a small piece of string that made the tunnel opening a tad smaller. I thought that the string would make it harder for the shrimp to get in but it actually kept the crab out so I put it back on those pots.

If that doesn't make sense think about how wide the crab are and place the string in such a way across the tunnel opening that a small crab can't get in.
