Thread: Is fishing closed at night

Default Is fishing closed at night

I have not fished in Ship creek for several years. I was told that you are only allowed to fish certain hours. Is this correct? I use to go at 5:00 and my friend says this is now illegal. I can't seem to find anything about this in the regs.

Yep. She's closed from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. It's posted on the sign by the viewing deck at the cable and other locations around the parking areas.

    Default just a suggestion

Ship Creek has been closed, for a few years, from 11pm til 6am. If you have a favorite spot to fish and you want to be there at 6am, you better plan on getting there early. I usually get to the creek around 5am. It gives me time to gear up and get into my spot. Whatever you do - DO NOT PUT YOUR LINE IN THE WATER UNTIL 6 AM!!!!!!!!!! The authorities have been watching for thisalot lately and the fine could ruin your fishing day. Good luck!
