Stopped by for a few minutes while taking my daughter out to a scouting event this morning.

Only 4 people there and no fish. I may head back out tonight if I can get my work done in time and the wife is willing. More peaceful and no mud compared to Ship Creek. Better spot all around for the kids even if the fishing is not as good.

    Default I wonder...

where does sportsmans get the fishing info they post?
The local lake info has never matched what they have on the board.

I've wondered that myself. Sometimes it even contradicts the Fish and Game fishing reports, which seems a little odd. Not that I rely on those reports, either.

Wife looked at the rain and said no way.

Will not get a chance till early next week. Oh well, sounds like I am not missing much.

Agreed. They have 0 idea what they are talking about most of the time.

Went to the tail race this morning around 8am Four people fishing. The only thing in the race is water waiting for fish if they show up. I'm afraid this is going to be another interesting year for Kings. Let's hope things warm up soon and I don't mean the weather........................

Yup. I'm sure one or two of the people that work there actually are hardcore fisherman, so they probably don't want people to go where the fish actually are...

The info on the reports board at Sportsmans is mostly from the local F&G people and some from employees/customer personal reports.
We all know we should be out making our own reports, not chasing reports though. Fishermen are liars by nature afterall.

The Kings are everywhere down there. There are so many in the river you have to fight to keep them off your hook. Plus there are no people because everyone thinks there's no fish.
