Default Should be back in the water tomorrow

I lost a couple weeks of flying time due to a family emergency. But now this years annual is done on the PA-11 and I should be back in the water and doing float ratings by tommorrow or Tuesday.

Hopefully we have some better weather this summer than last summer. Running a mom and pop float training operation gets kinda bleak when it rains and blows every day....

She's in... no problems so far... Other than crappy weather and no customers.

A couple years ago I had flight seeing folks and intro float lessons lined up on the shore. I was flying until 10 at night almost every night of the week.

Last year there were only a hand full of flight seeing folks and 7 or 8 float ratings all summer.

    Unhappy Bummer

Its really sad to think that under our countries current situation that the need and or want for aviation is in a downward trend. Is this what others are also seeing in the bush sector of the industry?

And it is even worse when you consider just how much opposition there is amoungst a certain class of politicians against general aviation.

Since general aviation folks are the last of the cowboy breed, those who would like to stamp out all individualism see us as a prime target.

We who know the freedom of the sky, represent a real threat to those who would prefer to see a nation of mindless followers.
