Exclamation pike where they oughtn't be...

thought i would start a new thread since this was mentioned on the kasilof thread and i figgered it was a newsworthy topic.
i made a call and what i found out was the feds have an image of a pike at the soldotna creek video monitor, but slikok is an ADF&G project and my buddy was not aware if they had gotten a pike at the slikok weir...

The mouths of the two creeks are only about 3.5 miles apart, with a big wide river between them. The prospects are grim regarding the spread of pike throughout the Kenai drainage.

Default Jihad against pike.... the time has come.

Ty posted that a pike was confirmed at Slikok.

Time for an unapologetic balls out assault on these dam things!

Pike have been in Soldotna Cr for a long time and ADFG has a very ongoing pro-active gillnetting project on most of the lakes that feed Soldotna Cr, so it would not be breaking news to find a pike on the lower streaches of Soldotna Cr... I am pretty sure the Feds have the weir on Slikok and have been counting steelhead for nearly a month now and that is where the pike was seen. It will be interesting to know the returning kings numbers to this stream.
