    Unhappy Shimano SpeedMaster 1702 Rod...

I had this 7' rod for close to 30 years, maybe longer. What a rod for steelhead and salmon. While salmon fishing last evening for springers, I tripped and fell, landed on the rod, and broke it in 2 pcs.Felt like a close friend had died. What a bummer.GR

I have 3 old Shimano Speedmasters-one a Mooching rod the 2 others are Tuna sticks and Man they are quality units no way to ever replace them once they're gone.
