Can anyone tell me if the Kings are in Ship down in ANC yet? Plan on spending the next couple days down there...

    Default Yup

They're in. Not too thick yet but there have been some documented catches. Get down there, catch one and post the pic!

Just did a drive by down there and I didn't see any action. But I do know this...you can't catch them while driving and you certainly can't while surfing the net

Good luck. I might try it tomorrow.

They are in - Use Vibrax and you will catch them on high tide. Fresh king on the grill is always good this early in the season.

    Mr. J,

We got some kings in Sh** creek here in Iraq. Too bad you are not here to check that out. Hopefully we are back in time for Delta Clearwater. You get an assignment yet?

I was out at ship on the high tide and saw the person next to me hook one but lost it. Eggs and a spin n glow did the trick for him. Slowly but surely they're rolling in the creek. Should get better towards June.

No action for anyone I saw this morning...but I left around 8: 20, pretty much right at high tide. nothing rolling and no hits on eggs, spin-n-glos or vibrax, from what I was seeing.

I was out there this morning also, no action.. I got caught up in the hi tide out on the flats. That water rushed up real quick and got my gear wet

The indicator species (humans) will be your tall tell sign. Pick your poison--work 'n' your shoulder tossin' blades, or plunkin.' I'll be down soaking eggs at the ebb tonight!

Drove by a couple hours ago and there were few people and no action that I saw. Was surprised at how few folks were down there. Guess everyone is recovering from the weekend.

I will probably soak some roe on Thursday. If you see a fat balding guy with an old Ugly Stik, be sure to say hi.

In Ship creek I would suggest a heavier line size due to the combat fishing. With all the people fishing down there you are bound to have some angry neighbors playing a fish for a long time with light line. I would be using something like 35 to 50# test down there.

    Default 4s, 5s, 6s

any of them will work fine in a spinner.
