    Default Polaris Fan troubles

I just came back from two days of riding riding and my fan on my 2004 Polaris 700 EFI started acting up. It seems to work properly when running (hasn't overheated). But, When I turn the ignition off the fan starts running and will not shut off. I have to disconnect the battery to stop it .

Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks in advance

Any mud buildup on the backside of the radiator where you cant see it will cause the fan to just keep running. When you shut down, the heat sensor picks up heat from the engine still and tries to cool it down even with the switch off. It will eventually shut off if the battery lasts that long. I had the 500EFI with the same problem. Sold it and got a better designed ATV.

I will check that. Also, the fan will come on even if I connect the battery when it is cold. I hope you recommendation works. Where is the heat sensor?

    Thanks

Am not sure where it is on yours. I had the 500 single cylinder engine.
