    Question Upper Chena Conditions?

Wife and I are leaving on Friday to canoe the Upper Chena from Mile 40 to Chena Lakes Rec Area. Anyone been on this part of the river in the last 2 weeks that can shed some light on river conditions and hazards? Any info would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Default come on in, the water's fine

Floated the new raft the 9-11th, started at 2nd bridge (granite tors) to the dam. Smooth sailing all the way. Saw tons of moose, eagles, beavers. Good times, good times.

sounds like a long haul, i floated 37 mile to 28 mile on tuesday 5-19 and it was beautiful and the grayling are active and turning on, even a caddis hatch. that stretch was fine, had to portage one new sweeper i am guessing about road mile30. no probs though, how many miles do you figure for that stretch? mark
