    Question Seat for Wife

My wife pointed out to me today, that its not that she doesn't like "canoeing, exactly... - just doesn't like the seats."

Has anyone else been down this road, and if so - whats your favorite canoe seat (could be permanent, or mobile) that passed the spouse-test?

    Nate,
Seats are an important upgrade to accomodate everybody in the canoe. Making sure everyone is comfortable makes your outings that much more enjoyable. A padded seat with a back is great for the front paddler. I use a seat pad for the rear of my canoes because I'm usually running a motor. shop around the boat shops, sportsmans, b&j, mt. view sports, and cabelas. My wife uses a seat that can also be attached to a 5 gallon bucket. Good luck

Not exactly the seat, but i find that the detachable seat backs make a big diffrence in comfort.
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

+1 on the back rest. We also found a "gel" pad for her to sit on. Can't remember who made it, but it helps a lot.
