    Default First 2009 FOB'd Bear...

To the first hunter of a FOB'd bear, 2009, Alaska bear, who posts a picture and story on this thread goes a free tube of FOBs!

Don't make me be that hunter, please.

Here's hoping that nobody gets one in the next 10 days so that I can be the lucky winner.

I'll see if I can't get one, i'll be at my bait all next weekend. I also could use another tube, I have a tendency of breaking them, I keep grouping them and there so accurate

Just joking around, my friend. You are really in for a treat! They are relatively new and are rocking worlds. Investigate www.starrflight.com. Two RR's.

Robert - You can get some at Wiggy's Alaska. They're located on the Old Seward Hwy just before the intersection with Dimond Blvd. If you're heading south, they're in a small strip mall on the left.

I've got my FOBs dialed in and ready to go. Actually, I didn't have to adjust anything on my bow - they're flying beautifully and I didn't need to tune my rest or anything else. Oddly enough, they seem to fly even better with my broadheads than my field points. I'm sure I was just being more deliberate about those shots due to the blades on the tip, but regardless, I'm pleased.

Driving south to Homer tomorrow evening, heading out hunting Tuesday afternoon. I'll be back with a report on Friday. Get my prize ready, Marc.

No FOB'd bear yet, but my bait got hit HARD, they tore up my sight, chewed up my permit sign, crapped everywhere, so I know they're there. Sat at that bait from 10pm-6am, no luck yet but I heard them around me. I'll have on soon

    Cool

I thought for sure there'd be a bear story on here by now! I sat all day Sunday with no result. Trailcam showed 3 brownies who had been camped out waiting for more bait, but they left the morning before I got there. Too bad, I had a blunt just for one of them!

The FOBs will surely be gone by the end of this weekend.

Tradbow - Yep, 5 lbs of pressure releases mine, but that all depends on the pressure created by your particular nock. The FOB popping off ensures deeper penetration or a complete pass-through as you're not dragging 3 vanes through meat. NO MORE biting down on a blazer vane in that braised ribmeat!!! Haah.

BrianM. - they control 125gr. broadheads really well if you're a fan of heavier-is-better!
