    Default 40 mile river

    just got back from my recon mission in the forty mile country, looks like an awesome interior drainage. will hopefully be floating from south fork to 112 mile bridge, second week of june. does anyone have any doos and donts for this section and if you know the exact river miles would be handy. i figure about 38? mark

    Default Easy float

    You should have no problem at all. It is an easy float. I ran it last July with my wife and kids. There is one small class II/III right before you get to the bridge on the Taylor highway. Be sure to tie up your raft every night. If it rains the water rises fast. Other than that it is a since. Fishing is decent for grayling. Use little mosquito flies etc. I have heard of guys catching burbot by drifting raw meat off the bottom, but I have not personally tried it myself. Beautiful river. Have fun.
