Use caution on Seward Highway, MP 86.5
Just wanted to let anyone know who is hauling a boat up and/or down the Seward Highway to be sure to heed the advice of the bump warning signs at approximately MP 86.5 (a few miles south of Girdwood). This has settled a little since the work was done last fall on it and the bump has gotten a little bigger this spring. The plan is to have this repaved by the middle of next week (approximately the 19th or 20th). Expect to see workers in that area all through next week. There is no plan to close the road for the work, but there may be slight delays for flaggers.
There are a lot of big bumps on the way to Seward. I was happy to see I had both of the outboards still attached when I pulled up to the ramp last Saturday. Slow down when you see the warning signs.
