Sounds good, Baron! We can't use the usual areas due to a Civil War re-enactment thing going on this weekend, so will be closer to the Chena River. I'll post details as soon as I know more.

    Default not just retrievers

A little correction. The picnic test is a retriever test but it's not only open to retriever breeds. It's being held in conjunction with IAGDA who's hunt tests are open to any sporting breed.

We will be in a different location than usual at the Chena Flood Control Project. Do not drive in at the Alyeska gate (first ramp) or go to the parking lot over the dam at the second ramp. Keep driving until you get to the restrooms & kiosk near the floodgates on the Chena River. It's a good idea to bring breakup boots & bug dope.

Thanks to all who came out. It was a long day, but I had a great time! I think this year's crop of young dogs is better than I have ever seen.

Also congrats to Lauren Little (?) who had never handled a gun in her life and yet would have gotten a seasoned pass. She had a quick lesson in gun handling and safety and did a fabulous job!

It was also a pleasure to visit with Baron who brought a nice bunch of Finished/Master dogs.
