Default Any Kings showing in the spit Yet?

Just wondering if anyone has been checking out the spit on the hight tides for the first kings of the year. It seems they should start showing around this weekend there.

I was there for a bit on Saturday, no kings yet! Won't be long.

    Default Heading to Homer

We're heading to Homer this weekend.
Just called Heritage Park and they said no fish yet.
Only been once and that was for halibut on a charter.
Is the fishing hole the place to go?
Is there a good place at the hole? Mouth? Outside? Inside? We plan on fishing the incoming tides.
What do people use? Lures? Bait?
Sorry about all the questions. I'd just like to be prepared a bit.
If you see a guy in a leg brace and a young boy fishing stop by and say hi.

give me a shout when you are down, if the fishing is slow maybe you and your boy would like to go on a ride-along if i am running around on the bay..
