    Default Friday, saturday blackies

Some quick pics from this weekend, my ten year old daughter went with me on two stalks and we came very close to getting her first bear the boar.We were unable to get her a good rest because of the steep upward shot necessary. So we decided dad would take him because we knew it was a nice bear. It was still very fun to have her there on the mountain with me. The bear fell 400 or 500' and came to rest 30' away from us. picked up a few shrimp for mothers day. Not to end on a bad note but it's getting crowded out there after 25 years of having it to myself. Secondly a Hewescraft saw fit to set their trash bag off their boat into the ocean, if I hadn't had my kids with me we would have had a talk. However I just pulled over there and picked it up. Still a great weekend with my kids and friends.

Awesome!!! Glad you were successful and sorry that there are people out there that would dump trash like that. Congratulations!

    Default Bear Hunt

Nice bear; congrats. I hope my daughter gets her first something this year. BTW; why not post more about the trashy B#$%^&*&s in the Hewescraft? Did you get there registration #s; I'd call them out if I saw that; usually people will pick up their litter if you fuss at them. Good job anyway doing the right thing.

WOW, that looks like more than a 'few' to me! Do you guys feed off a catch like that for a couple days?

    Great pics, Bob!

Nice Bob!! I'm taking my NINE year old daughter to the stand in a few weeks. Congrats though on your daughter tackling a MOUNTAIN! What is she shooting? I was target practicing yesterday with Kara and the .223. Of course daddy will be backing with a .416!

    Default Congrats

Good to see young ones out hunting.. I took my daughters out last year to PWS, we only saw 9 on our trip but I managed to sneak my then 10 y/o up to 49 yards form a huge boar grazing on some grass.. She made a perfect shot with a .270, my 14 y/o and I couldnt clo0se the deal.. In a couple weeks her and I will be back out their for her bear.

    Congrat's again

    Default Finished turning today

My daughter is shooting a .257 Roberts with 120 gr. noslers. She is really excited about the next trip and another chance at one. The gun is a little heavy for her so we need a bear in the right place. The Boar I shot is a straight 6'er. 5'9" nose to tail, 6'3" paw to paw, 17 3/16" head, and a flawless jet black hide. Both bears were extremely lean even for spring the sow had pretty severe atrify in her hams. Couple more shots of him on the beach.

    Default Great post

Congrats on a great hunt with the little people. A great way to get our future generation involved.

I can't wait to get some of those tastey shrimp this spring. I say I am bear hunting, but I am really hoping for lots of tastey shrimp for the grill.

Now stop reading everyone's replies and get your daughter her bear.

    Good luck.
