If South Rolly Lake is still covered with ice, It's highly likely that X/Y Lakes will be too.....I suspect another week or so and they'll be open.

Montana Lakes are still covered in ice as of last night. The shallowest parts were open water. It looks pretty thin, maybe another week until it is ice free. Nancy Lake looked like it had quite a bit of open water (still some ice but I just glanced at it from the Parks at 60mph). I might head up there this weekend to try out the new canoe.

All flowing water from Honolulu creek on down was free of ice.

Buddy of mine who lives in Talkeetna just called me .....he said that X, Y, and Christiansen Lakes are still 95% covered. He thinks by next weekend they'll all be open!
