    Default Aluminum polish

I recently bought a 220 searunner and really wanted to use the sharkhide cleaner and protectant for it, but the shipping is close to the cost itself! What are the best (locally available) cleaners/ protectant that you have used. I would really like to have a good quality cleaner without having to hand buff, polish the entire boat everytime. Thanks for the inputs....

    Thumbs up Muratic Acid

Available at AIH for $10 a gal. Dillute as directed and spray on, let sit, wash off. Wash off trailor right away. Highly corrosive. It will de-oxify your aluminum to make it bright. Then you need a clear coat like sharkhide to keep it.

Sharkhide is amazing stuff, I put it on my XS the first year, re-applied each year and the boat looks as new.

I think someone posted that Sharkhide was available at Alaska Mining/Diving in Anchorage. If you are local, give them a call.

With a little elbow grease and a cheap buffer I use 3M aluminum polish. You can get it at WM.
