Default Local Archery events? (in the Valley or Anchorage)

I've always wanted to take up bow hunting. I haven't used a bow since I was about 6. Could I get the where abouts of any local events or classes to be held in the Mat Su valley or Anchorage area? Any information would be great. Thank you!

    Thumbs up Make some calls...

I would check out the local Sportsmans Warehouse archery dept's for fliers left around and then I would call ALL of the archery shops. Somebody will know something......

    Default Alaska State Archery Assoc.

State 3D unmarked yardage is coming up soon. Plus joining the assoc. gives you access to the outdoor range on the MatSu College campus.

The wife and I have a home range if you want to do a less organized shoot. We are both Trad archers and I would be happy to let you shoot all my bows but 1......Sorry even Tracy doesn't get to shoot the 1967 1/2 Kodiak hunter. We are over in Palmer.
