    Default PWS Snow levels??

Wondering if anyone has been out in the sound within the past week? Planning a bear hunt last week in May and getting concerned with all of this wondrful weather that we may be a little late! Last year we had the late snow and we were a bit early, tried to adjust the dates....timing! Any info would be much appreciated.

In the Valdez arm the snow is down to about a foot or two on shaded north faces and it's all gone on the south faces. Sea level is pretty much down to dirt all around. Black bears are all out and eating up every scrap of vegatation they can vacuum up.

As of 3 days ago - Southern slopes clearing and beaches starting to show green grass.

    Default Southwest PWS....

down by Bainbridge and Chenega is still buried in snow right down to the water line. It's going to be a bit longer. Patience is a virtue, right?
