    Default Deep Creek trolling

Finally getting out for the first trip of the year!! Heading to Deep Creek for some halibut the third week of May. Thinking about trying my luck trolling for Kings also. Any of you have advise on depth and probability of hooking up? I am planning on using dipsy divers and herring. Maybe flashers. I also heard the halibut is good around 12 to 16 fathoms an hour before till an our after slack tide. Thank for the advise in advance.

soon to be back in Alaska

For the kings troll the shoreline with everyone else. Stay in 20-40' of water and hope you are lucky. For halibut you might want to double your depth.
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.
