Just got back from making the rounds of the Anchorage lakes and was surprised to find them ice free this morning! Taku was 100% ice free, Jewel 100%, DeLong was about 95% ice free. It had a little slush in the shaded corner only and that looked like it would be gone by noon or so. Does anyone know what is gong on at Taku? There were hundreds of 10-12 inch long "sucker" fish dead floating all over the lake with hundreds more littering the bottom. I haven't fished there for a couple of years but have caught hundreds of fish there in the past and never a single "sucker" fish.
