    Default alaska aviation trade show

Wow what a great show, Many thanks to the vendors for answering all my question. Helps one to remember what a great state we live in.
Anyway when I left I called the wife and told her how much money I saved us, she was not impressed with that comment.
Best of all I think I saw the first foatplane T/O and Ldg's from Lake Hood today . A PA18 dodging the remaining ice. A great finish to a great show.

We went for our first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a neat part of our trip to Anc.

I had a gentleman ask if I had a plane and told him no and he said he'd help me out and I got a side look from the wife that, Huh?

    Oh well we had fun.

Probably Dick B. He is in his 80s and makes it a point to be the first one off the lake every year. GO DICK!

A gentlemen by the name of R. C. Cline won the Husky. It was not Mr. Betts that was the first one off, somone beat him to it this year and your right, that was a marvelous display of Gruman products.
I took the wife on Sunday and flew in. She had never been to the show before and had a great time. She's really bummed she's going to miss Valdez but I promised she could go with next year.
The Raptor departure was awesome! Sure makes a guy proud to be an American.
Shane, are you bringing the new bird to Valdez next week?

I had to cancel my table this years since I was stuck doing CAP stuff over on Elmendorf all week.
Of course it was nice weather since we were all stuck inside.

I plan on it unless the weather is terrible. In which case I may just catch a ride over in the Cirrus that was on display at the show.
