    F#%! me! I spent all day down there looking for one of those I hiked all day, until I could not go any more, and the biggest thing I saw was a **** squirrel where about was this?

    One i saw yesterday was at russian river ferry parking lot

    I thought you wanted a book bear? That one would probably be 8 inches under minimum.

    It would have at least got my hopes up, I have not even seen a bear yet this year and I have done lots and lots of glassing, I have seen tracks when I was flying to scout. I just want to see one for now.

    Nimrod,

    Yeah, that has to be the exact same bear, looks very similar. I would bet it is. I am so jealous of your picture, was the bear much closer to the road or on the road side of the river? Or did you have a really good zoom lens? I took my with a Canon 50D with two different lens, once of which was a 70-300mm. Your picture looks like you are 20 feet away, what a great picture!

    Tim, I got some footage of him with my new Canon XH-A1. Although I could only get 1 minute or so, my little guy was with me and couldn't get good access, plus there was honestly a hundred thousand mosquitoes out, it was unreal. I learned it's hard to hold the camera steady when your hands are covered with mosquitoes.
