Default Fishing in the King Salmon Area

I will be taking a trip to King Salmon in the next several weeks. I was wondering if anyone knows if I have to purchase a land use permit from an of the local native corps.

    Thanks in advance

The answer is no. There is some fishing to be done this time of year but a good deal of the upper river is closed for the rainbow spawn. If have a vehicle yo can drive up to Lake Camp and hike about 1/2 mile up river to the border of closed waters. You can also go to Rapids Camp and walk to the right around the probably frozen lagoon and fish down there. There will more fishable water at the rapids camp area. If King Salmon Creek is open/ice free and clear flowing it will have dollies and grayling from the bridge up or down.

    Hope this helps.
