    Default Ice breaking today

Was out breaking ice today on Wasilla lake. Won't be long before we have open water. Mokai first on the water in spring, and last off in fall.

    Default knik

i drove the old glenn the other day and it looks runable in a shallow running boat between the bridges for sure. not much water at all on the channel that runs by the power plant. couldnt see above the bridge too far but it looked open for a ways the channel shoots over to the south bank from the bridge.

That's it!!!! If you want to ride in my boat this summer the price of fuel has just doubled. Seriously, the boat is now brand new. I shouldn't have any problems this summer.

tjm & Water_Gremlin: Why wait for the ice to go out? There were 3 air boats at the entrance to Kroto slew watching the Iditarod this year.

That was probably Leonard. Said he does that every year. Last time I ran the ice I broke the glass in my windshield.
