    Default Pike fishing on Kenai

I am heading to Sterling in July to fish with my cousin for two weeks. We have talked about pike fishing. Is Stormy lake the best the Kenai has to offer? Thank you

I'd try Mackey Lake as well.

Stormy has easy access as it's surrounded by public lands with an established boat launch. While they keep saying there are pike that need to be taken out of there, I've yet to hear 1st hand accounts of very many pike actually being caught. It's a nice lake in a nice spot though.

Mackey's Lakes are all surrounded by private property. You've pretty much got to know somebody to get onto the lakes.

And that's about all we've got for pike waters.

There are a "few" spots nearby where you could try some salmon fishing...

Thank you for your help. We will be doing plenty of salmon, rockfish, halibut fishing. We were just kicking around something different.
