    Default Kodiak bear mount

Here's a picture of my taxidermist with my almost completed
brown bear that I shot on Kodiak last fall.Skull was measured by fish
and game at 28 9/16". After drying it measures 28 1/2". Taxidermy
form was from Research Management and was 106"by 77".

That's an amazing bear. I'd love to hear the story as well. I love the mount. Congratz!

    Default Bear story

I told the story back in June. It's listed as "November brown
bear" and is on page 33 right now.

Hey, MRC, you should post the name of your Taxidermist's company. He did a great job, and I think he deserves recognition.

Congrats on the bear and the beautiful mount!

That's an amazing bear! ****. Congrats. That mount came out sweet. I can't wait until I can go back there and hunt those brown bears again.

    Ranger Rick,

    What unit did you draw?

A very nice mount. I like the fact that the animal is in a "natural" pose and not one of those growling, pissed off poses. I had a black bear rug made where I asked for a closed mouth pose. You know what I got back instead - A growler.

I hope the plaque (2nd photo) isn't what I think it is.
