    Default Trolling Motor recommendation?

I am looking for a trolling motor for my 20' aluminum boat. Burned too much gas last year trolling for silvers in seward with the main engine.

Anyone have any recommendations? Trying to find something thats not too expensive and possibly could be used multipurpose with a zodiac as well.

    Default Yahama High Thrust

If you can find a Yahama High thrust you won't be disappointed. I would check craigslists.
How stupid is it to be wasting tons of salmon and halibut as bycatch in the Bering Sea and then have the coastal villages hollaring they have no food? It's got to stop!

I suspect that you will need a long shaft and most smaller sportboats take a short shaft from my experience. I have heard that running a long shaft on one can give you, we'll say, an interesting and wet ride. I suppose you could build up the transom on the zodiac and make it work, though.

Here is a honda on craigs list. It appears to be a great deal: http://anchorage.craigslist.org/boa/1098251111.html

    Default Thanks!

I didn't see the trolling motor on ebay earlier today. I left a message with him, hopefully he hasn't sold it yet!

    Default I have a honda 20hp 4-stroke

Listed on the buy-sell-swap forum. Long shaft, elec start, tiller, power tilt, like new, 5 hours, plus extra OE prop.

I am buying an Alaska Series tender for my big boat, and it needs a long shaft motor. However, this motor is too big and heavy to be moving back and forth to a zodiac...

It is in Valdez, with tank, owner's manual etc. I got it for a "dud" boat so hardly used it. PM me if interested. $3850 new, I need $2500.
