    Default Winter fishing

Can you fish Whittier/Seward/Homer in the winter? Are there periods in the winter where they close the harbors, does it ice over, etc.? I realize the Halibut split, but surely you can still go after rockfish, cod, shrimp, and the like. Does anyone go out in January?

I know Homer has some decent feeder king fishing. I don't know the timing, but I think there is a derby in march?

    Default winter fishing

you can fish for feeder kings all winter long in homer. Tourney in February. Winter kings can be caught in Bainbrige Passage from Whittier. In Seward you can find some kings also but its hit and miss. Good Luck

Actually the Homer Winter King Tournament is around the 18th or so of March. Not enough daylight in Febuary.
