Default Value of Early Season Goat Hide

Partner and I drew for Kodiak South Road System goat. Looks like we will be going around the opener, August 20th.
I know it isn't the best time for quality of hide, etc. but its what works for our particular situation.
If we are fortunate, or even skilled enough to connect, would it be worth trying to bring out the cape or even whole hide to sell?
Anyone have any estimates of what an early season goat hide is worth?

    Thumbs up Goat cape

    Yes.
Some hunters prefer the shorter hair of an early season cape.
So yes...bring out the front cape or the entire mountain goat skin.
If you are not going to do a trophy mount, you will be pleasantly surprised what your taxidermist will "trade" or pay for your efforts.

later hides when the hair is prime you can usually pull around 800 or so for a good size lifesize hide...
but if you get someone who shot an early season goat and the hide spoiled they might want to replace it with an early season hide....i'd save it for sure. don't expect it to pay for your trip though. i'd guess 2-4 hundred would be reasonable.
