    Default Healy Peak

Has anyone ever done Healy Peak before?
It looks as if it's supposed to be classed as 'difficult'.
I'd like to know if anyone here has done it, what season, how was the terrain, and if it was worth the hike/climb?
    Thanks in Advance!

I have climbed it twice. If we are thinking of the same peak that is. Both times were in the end of May. Relatively tame, trail almost all the way to the top a good day trip peak IMO. I think the difficult rating is a little bit of an exaggeration in this case. Lots of kids in my high school hike this peak, no big deal really. Go for it.

I wanted to see if I could snowshoe it, but the Outside in the Interior book by Kyle Joly said that it was 'difficult'.
I'd like to see how is with snowshoeing, but scared I can't find the 'trail' when there is so much snow on it.
    Suggestions?

Hilarious! That's good stuff right there. Then maybe I'll do this with my kidlets on snowshoes then. They were able to do Donnelly Dome last year so this year doing Healy Peak won't be all that bad and it gives me a good excuse to go to Rosie's!
