    Default Burbot For Subsistence

For many generations...... burbot was a fish that our interior residents used to feed their families. Every year........the bag limits become rediculously smaller. Who thinks the state should start a state-wide subsistance season like they do for dipnetting salmon? I think the bag limits are getting out of hand. What is it going to be next year? Is it going to be one burbot per person?

I thought there was a subsistence season for them for areas off the road system.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

The problem is burbot are slow growing and can be sensitive to over fishing. So as more people target them the bag limit must go down to protect the populations.
