    Default Iditarod

I like the new animation on http://www.iditarod.com/ Anybody else following the race?
If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction.

I don't like the fact that they are charging an extra $14 for the GPS tracking when at the time I signed up and paid for Insider Status, they said it included it. I thought bait and switch was illegal but apparently not if you are the Iditarod. Yea, call me bitter lol.

I'm following it and loving it. I wish they would promote the mid-distance races like they do the Quest and the Iditarod. That would give us more mushing to follow through out the winter.

This has been my first chance to check in on the race.
    It is sad about Victor.

I was looking for Rohne Buser, but it looks like he aint racing this year.

    Default An amazing photo

From the front page of ADN yesterday. On the surface, you'd say it's just Mackey running off a moose on the trail. But look a bit closer. Look at the face of each and every dog on his team. He has their full and complete attention even with the moose right there in front of them and his back to the dogs. That is a well trained dog team who knows exactly who their pack leader is. Impressive.

That's good news. Sounds like a pretty rough go of things on the steps for her. Glad it ended up with no one and no dogs injured.
