Feller brought in a gorgeous 1894 Winchester rifle this morning, 26" octagon, color case hardened receiver, fresh blue, saddle ring (yeah, I know, it's a 'put together' rifle), nice looking original wood. Bore is frosted a bit, but no pits, rifling still sharp.
.38-55 chambering... .375 jacketed bullets drop into the muzzle with no resistance, so it's 'slug the barrel' time, and figure out how to make it shoot. It'll probably even take the long cases...
Murphy, how did you make out with your 93 Marlin project? Any new developments, or help for those of us similarly addicted????
