    Default New scope mounting

I have a new Win. model 70 and I am wondering if low Warne Maxima Scope Rings will work with a Leupold VxII 3 x 9 x 40 Scope. I have mounted it with med. rings and it seems to high. Concerned about bolt clearance.

hi upnorth! i use warne's and think they run a size larger (taller) than, say leupold. i use low mounts, and they will still handle a 4X42 nikon monarch scope.

normally my hunting scopes are low power, and i want to be low on the stock as well (cheekweld).
    happy trails.
