Default ABA looking for guest speaker next year banquet

We are already planning for next year banquet. One thing we already started to think about is who do we want as our guest speaker next year.

I would like to hear peoples opinions.

    Thanks

    Default Michael Waddell

    Michael Waddell

From the show road trips and now called Bone collector.

    Seems like a great guy.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Would love to have him again, but he ask for way to much money to speak.

I'll have to say Michael Waddell and the Bone collectors crew, Uncle Ted would be great too, maybe we can talk him down.

I haven't bowed hunted in years but I do enjoy watching Ralph & Vickie on Archers Choice. Don't know if they would fit your program.

Cameron Hanes, Ralph and Vickie, Dwight Schuh, Randy Ulmer,

Cam would be my first choice, like to hear from a guy who is hard core and has spent many days afield, in remote back pack hunts. He just took a ram last year with Roy Roth in the chugach. He has hunted caribou and moose up here as well.

He spoke for the banquet a few years ago, Randy Ulmer would be fun...all comes down to who doesn't want an astronomical speaking fee in the end.

If I can remember right, we never had a female speaker. You might be on to something.

    Default Speaker

Why not just have Roy Roth or Jack Frost give a presentation? Both are outstanding locals, who've just about done it all.

Cool Well, we've just about gone around the block once....

Now that MR James is retired, maybe we could coax him and Janet to fly up for a few days...again.He has to be one of the most down to earth guys, and his fees I'm sure would be within reason.Lots of our members maybe haven't seen some of the older speakers we have had.If I had my choice, I'd drag Dave Watson back.Who else have we had that talked such a good talk, then smoothed things out with his quality guitar music?Good luck Gary...this is a tuff nut to crack.GR

Lee and Tiffany are good speakers , real down to earth people , give a good presentation, (although mostly Whitetail stuff) She is an inspirition and a great role model for aspiring female bowhunters

I am just curious as to how much these big name speakers charge to come up here for our banquet? I assume we buy the plane tickets and pick up the hotel tab. How much did Fred Eichler charge? Not complaining here or anything, just wondering.
