so I got me a new trailing arm for my '01 RMK... got the old one off and cant quite get the old bolt thru the new bushing... bolt looks pretty straight, just wont slip into its hole (aft end of trailing arm)... ***? do I need to press the bolt into the new bushing to make it penetrate prior to assembly?? it is nylon after all... whats the best technique to accomplish this?

(usually a little lube goes a long way to sove these sorts of problems but I'm not sure that's the case with this one!)

also... (unrelated to bolt issue)... my fore radius rod is slightly bent, but access to other end is tight... any tricks to bend it back or do I just start busting nuckles to get to it?
