    Default Fishing License question

Mom mom has her permanant fishing, hunting and trapping license for being over 60. I cannot remember the king stamp rule. Does she have to have one? We fished for kings last year but I am brain dead on whether she had to have one last year. Thanks guys

    Chuck-

You're asking for trouble here....'The Deputy' will more than likely respond to this kind of 'regulation' related question.

(....However, he may still be in Mrs. Johnson's 5th period math class, so it might take him a few hours to respond.)

Directly from the F&G website -

Do I need a King Salmon Stamp?

King Salmon Stamps are required for anyone who fishes for anadromous king salmon except for residents and nonresidents under the age of 16 and persons who have these license types: resident blind fishing license, resident low income license, resident 60 years of age or older Permanent Identification Card license, and a resident disabled Veteran's license.

    I'd say no...

A king stamp is not required for those possessing a ADF&G PID or Disabled Veteran's Card however a harvest record is. Those can be picked up at most license vendors and at Fish and Game offices in the Sport's fishing section.

she's gotta get a harvest card to record her catch, she can use this for kings, sharks, and rainbows over 20 inches or other fish w/ annual limit. Pretty much every liscence vendor has these and they are the same as the ones kids under 16 need

It is something that AKPM will always be assiocatied with. We all have our niche and even with all the "pissing and moaning" by members about some of the things that go on, well he is Famous. He does know the regs there is no doubt about that either. Im lucky to remember where I parked the truck

    Smile Permanent License

Being one of the Permanent License holders, I can say for certain that you need the harvest card, not the stamp. And, if the person dipnets, need a harvest card for that also.
