Denali Highway Trail Report 2/18/09
Wow, what a season of snow we are having up on the Denali Highway. The report from up there is that it's been snowing all week, and judging by the National Weather Service warning below, they are going to have another 1 to 2 feet by Friday!!! Should be a great weekend ride, with high's expected in the upper teens to twenties! Denali Highway has been groomed and is in great shape! We look forward to seeing you guys, and at least stop in for free coffee!

THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 4 PM AKST THURSDAY.
A STRONG WEATHER FRONT WILL BRING WARM MOIST SOUTHWEST FLOW TO THE SUSITNA VALLEY. HEAVY SNOW WILL BEGIN AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY THURSDAY. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE NORTH OF TALKEETNA WHERE 13 TO 24 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED BY THE TIME THE SNOW TAPERS OFF LATE THURSDAY. ELSEWHERE... LESSER AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 11 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FROM MIDNIGHT THROUGH LATE THURSDAY. RAIN MAY ALSO MIX IN SOUTH OF TALKEETNA LATE TONIGHT.
